Frequently Asked Questions
Will my insurance cover this roof replacement?
This is our number one question. Usually, the answer is no—unless there’s qualifying storm damage. If your shingles aren’t creased, cracked, broken, or missing, insurance typically won’t consider it a claim. Unsealed shingles or general wear and tear usually don’t qualify. We’ll evaluate your situation and give you honest guidance about whether filing a claim makes sense.
What about metal roofs or other roofing types?
We install multiple roofing types including two types of metal roofs (bar metal and standing seam). While we specialize in high-quality shingle roofs, we can discuss alternative options if you’re interested.
How do you handle financing?
We start by asking questions about your expectations and financial situation. Then we figure out financing options that work for your specific circumstances. We work with different banks for different client situations, whether you have perfect credit or have experienced some credit challenges.
Do you really recommend repairs more often than replacements?
Yes. We recommend roof repairs over replacements at about a three-to-one ratio. We’re not here to sell you something you don’t need. If your roof can be repaired properly and we can warranty that repair, we’ll tell you honestly.
What if I’m not sure whether I need a new roof?
That’s exactly why we offer free inspections. Most clients don’t know if they need a new roof—they just know something doesn’t look right. We’ll come out, evaluate everything thoroughly, and give you our honest professional opinion about what’s happening with your roof.
Can you install a new roof in winter?
Yes, as long as temperatures are at least 48 degrees and conditions are sunny on cooler days. This ensures proper shingle sealing and installation quality.
What makes your warranties better than other contractors?
Most contractors offer depreciated warranties—if there’s a problem years later, you only get partial coverage based on the remaining value of your shingles. Our trusted installer certifications allow us to offer manufacturer-backed warranties that cover 100% of workmanship and materials, even 7 to 25 years after installation, depending on which warranty level you choose.
